Время выбирать, или Работа моей мечты!

Чем старше мы становимся, тем больше решений нам приходится принимать. И одно из важнейших – это выбор будущей профессии, ведь он может определить всю твою последующую жизнь. Студенты из группы Focus 2 задумались над этим вопросом и попробовали разобраться в основных составляющих идеальной профессии.

In my childhood I used to go to different research centres, and that’s when I became interested in sciences. So, if I could choose any job in the world, I would be a scientist. Just like my grandfather, I’m very fond of chemistry and I hope to connect my future life with it. It’s a job of my dream. It’s well-paid. You can work flexible hours. If you discover something new, you’ll make people’s life easier and more interesting. Of course, there are some disadvantages. For example, you sometimes have to stay up at night and work, or even risk your life. But it’s still the best job in the world for me. I’m responsible, clever and do my best to study hard. So, I hope that my dream will come true. (Sonya Orekhova) 

Since my early childhood I’ve been dreaming about becoming a dentist. Why? Because I like helping people. It’s great to work with people, you can not only solve their problems, but you can also learn something new from them, or just have a good time communicating. Besides, if you work as a dentist, you can earn a high salary and have a paid holiday. Of course, you can sometimes get tired of work. And in addition to this disadvantage, you have to wear uniform and always look smart. But I’m not afraid of it, and I’m ready to study at university for a long time to become a doctor. Is it really difficult to find your dream job? Not for me. My name’s Olessya and I like travelling very much. If I had the opportunity to work for a travelling company, I would be the happiest person in the world. I would like to visit various countries and make videos about the most interesting and exciting places in the world. In my opinion, this job has a lot of advantages. First, you are well-paid and you can do flexible hours. Then, you don’t have to dress up smartly. The only disadvantage is that you spend a lot of time far from home and sometimes need to work overtime. (Olessya Kulikova) 

I often dream about my future and the job I want to have when I become an adult. If I could choose, I would like to be a banker because I want to get a lot of money to support my family and buy a big house for them. Being a banker I will be well-paid. I will be able to get regular pay rises and bonuses. In addition, I will have to work regular office hours, which is very convenient for me as I go to the gym three times a week. There are disadvantages to this job, too. I will need to travel around the world. It is very exciting, but also tiring and it means I will sometimes work long hours. Though, it’s not so important for me because I will earn a high salary and take a six weeks’ paid holiday every year. Well, this job is perfect for me! (Milana Dorogova) 

Hello! My name’s Julia and I absolutely love playing football. Maybe that’s why I’d like to be a football coach. I want to teach others how to play football well. This sport is amazing. I don’t understand people who don’t like it. I’d like to show everyone that it’s very easy and thrilling. In addition, I’d like to become a coach because they usually have a high salary, they can work flexible hours and take days off every month. But such a wonderful job has also got a disadvantage. It is necessary to work with children, which is very hard and tiring. But it won’t stop me. It’s a great profession and I will definitely become a coach. (Julia Meshkova)

If I could choose any job in the world, it would be a computer programmer. First of all, because it’s well-paid. Then, you can work from home. In addition, you don’t have to wear a uniform, you can wear whatever you want. And you can work flexible hours, so you can start and finish work whenever you want. But this job has some disadvantages. You can have problems because of deadlines. That’s why you should take orders that you CAN do. If you take a difficult order, you will have to work long hours to complete it on time. To sum it up, I would be happy to become a programmer because I like staying at home, I prefer working when I want to do it, and I adore working on the computer. (Sergey Lebedev) 

What do I want to do in the future? It’s quite a difficult question. I have a lot of interests, and I’m good at different subjects. But if I could choose, I would become a travel agent. I like travelling and I want to share my knowledge and impressions with other people. I would like them to see all the wonderful places in the world. To become a travel agent you need a university degree, and you should be friendly, easy-going and very intelligent. Of course, you have to work long hours and fly a lot, you have to spend a lot of time away from home. But it’s well-paid, and it gives you the opportunity to see new places and meet interesting people from around the world. (Irina Andieva)
